Gorgeous nail art ideas for New Year's Eve and how do to them yourself.

Here are some great NYE inspired nail art ideas to take to the salon or that you can do at home and still look your absolute best.

This is so easy and pretty and could work with almost any colour combinations. The creativity of it also allows for mistakes! Simply apply a tilted coat of nail polish to the end of your nail and then when dry, top it off with few tastefully dropped blobs of a glitter polish Tres chic.

Who said NYE had be about gold, black and silver? Add colour and still shine. You could even do this design at home using a thin brush or -pro tip: the pin end of a safety pin - to create colour stars. Top with clear glitter polish and top coat and you’re good to go.

Sequins but carefully placed. It’s like a disco ball on your fingers. Combined with the satin finish block colour on every alternate finger and it stands out more. If you’re doing this at home, you can use a pair of tweezers to place the sequinces.

If you don’t want sparkle, then these bow french tips are a wonderfully Audrey Hepburn-style chicness. They feel hopeful too. If you’re doing these at home, use a thin, angled brush to get those sharp lines.

Doesn’t this green look so luxurious? It’s a great transition colour from a more Christmass-y green. You can replace the satin finish with a matte for a more laid-back vibe.

Or forgo the glitter altogether create something stunning with just matte and satin finish polishes in the same colour. How deliciously vampy. You just know this would look equally as good in midnight blue or burgundy colours.

To maintain that straight central line, apply nail tape to either side if you have it or just regular tape and once the central line is dry just whip it off and voila!
